Fred Reilly (b.1965) is an artist/photographer based in Ireland. He completed a BA in photography at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and received a MFA in documentary photography from the University of Wales. As a commercial photographer he has been commissioned by the National Youth Council, the Heritage Council of Ireland, the Higher Education Authority and most recently by the Boston college in association with the GAA. He has worked as an art director and has wrote and narrated an international award winning short film. His work is represented in public and private collections and has featured in solo and group exhibitions. He has been the recipient of the 'Royal Hiberian Photographic Award' and the Meath Arts Award. His first major body of work ‘Depopulation’ has been exhibited widely including at the 'International European Month of Photography' (Berlin, Germany) and the Arles International Photography Festival in France. He attended the Art Students League and the Grand Central Atelier in New York to study figurative drawing and painting where he received the ‘Blue Dot Award’ for drawing. He was commissioned to produce a unique work as part ‘Imago Mundi’ project for the Benetton Foundation, Milan, Italy (Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche) and featured in the  publication of the same title.  Currently, he is represented by the Blue Leaf Gallery in Dublin.
